Facilities

With Gujarat Technological University's curriculum, the Electrical Engineering Department at Dr. Subhash Technical Campus places equal emphasis on theoretical and experimental knowledge of electrical engineering.

The Department has qualified and accomplished faculty members of extensive experience in academics as well as industrial. The faculties not only empower the students with conceptual depth but also enable them to meet the requirements of the industries.

Department provides in depth knowledge of fundamentals of electrical engineering, Electrical Machines, Electrical Power System, Control System, Power Electronics, Computer Hardware, Computer Software.

The Department has well equipped facilities like Standard labs and a Seminar hall. Electrical Engineering Department is running Energy Management Cell -- Efficient Energy for Ecology Where department is directly involved in the industry to provide various audit and energy consultancy related services.

The Electrical Engineering Department has been organizing many guest lectures & hands on training on advanced fields. Providing industrial visits in each of the semester enable the students to relate the theoretically gained knowledge in the classes to the industries. Department encourages students to participate in the various technical events to excel in industry with high moral values and knowledge.

Elements of Electrical Engineering Lab

Ohm's Law, Kirchoff's Law, Measurement of temperature coefficient of different materials, R-L-C resonance, 1-� & 3- � power measurement, Star � Delta verification, Wiring connection practice, Tube light connection, Earthing & Protective Devices.

Machine Lab

Designed and developed by faculties with Crompton Greaves(CG) machine

High Voltage Lab

Equipped with 150 KV, 100 J, 5 stage Impulse Generator and 50 KV AC/70 KV SC Power frequency, 60 KV oil and 30 KV Solid Insulation testing facilty.

Power Lab

Power system analysis, simulation and protection facilities.

Computer Lab

50+ Computers of Acer - M200, Core i3, 3.33GHz, 2GB, 500GB Configuration.

Power Electronics Lab

Facilitate with analysis, design, simulation, and experimentation of various power electronics circuits including AC-DC, DC-AC and DC-DC.

Measurement Lab

Enrich with the measurement equipped like Thermal Imager(FLUKE - Ti32), Earth Resistivity Tester(Chauvin Arnoux - CA6471), Power Analyzer (Chauvin Arnoux - CA8332B) etc...

Control System Lab

Holds up the equipments for electronic, digital, control system and circuit & network.

Electrical Circuit Lab

Series-parallel law's of resistance, Series-parallel laws of capacitors, Superposition theorem, Frequency measurement using CRO, RC time constant and Hysteresis characteristic of magnetic core.

Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering
